Call centre staff inefficiency

I phoned to find out when my contract period expires. Nico e-mailed (26/08) as follows: the termination date onthe contract is on the 30/09 with one month notice up frond (his error). 30 August I sent mail to cancel and gave a month notice. At the end of September a premium was deducted and upon enquiry Wendy confirmed that the contract period is up and she would look into the deduction made. Her supervisor came back to say the contract period actually only ends in October and the deduction is correct. Not friendly, not customer orientated, nada!
