Got a phone call saying my magazine service will expire soon and they received a request for renewal with a credit. First time I did not pay, but they called again and now it is a man's voice and very professional. Requested to renew rightaway for one yr free subscription with my credit card over the phone.
Both times they left a phone number 1-877 298 0066 which goes to a voice mail. After giving them my credit card number they said this transaction was final and they would send a verification mail to my home address for which I need to send a signature. That gives me a redflag and after the phonecall I checked the magazine customer service number which is indeed separate and my magazine subscription was not going to expire soon. For whatever reason the transaction amount was not charged when I called my credit card company — the instant damage was saved.
