Few weeks ago i applied for a modelling studio called “Kube”, the lady on the phone sounded very pleased with my looks and she was extremely nice about everything. However one thing that i wasnt aware of and was kept a secret, was the portfolio fee! They didnt even mention anything about the portfolio cost on the phone! I asked several times if there is any sorts of payments involved but the lady only mentioned the £50 deposit not anything else. After 4 hours of journey and almost £100 for the train tickets i got there. Everything was going well the lady who was reviewing my photos seemed really enthusiastic and made it sound like i was born to be a model, after the photos she started talking about all these portfolio fees and she wanted us to pay £1500 for a gold one! I was with my dad and my dad was ready to pay for it but it just looked it like she just wanted the money! I asked her if i could take a day to think about it and make a decision and she said no “you have to make a decision here and today”. I was pressured into buying a portfolio. It's been 5 months since I got them but all the agencies I applied said I will never become a model because I'm only 5 2' I feel sick knowing I was ripped off.
