My Wife and her brother booked their air tickets with KLM / DELTA to fly from DFW to INDIA. They both then went online and picked their seat of choice so that the brother and sister can sit together for their 10 hours journey to Amesterdam. So far so good. Both the passengers did their part correct.
For some reasons when we all reached Airport and tried to print our boarding passes, they were shocked to see that the "KLM Airline" has changed their seat assignments. When spoke with the available ground staff and requested for their help the ground staff at the DFW airport were NOT at all ready to offer any help.
Question#1: When the passengers picked up their seats on-line why the KLM changed their seat assignment at the last minute?
Question#2: Why no one on the ground staff helped them when they only (Airlines) changed their seats without the knowledge of the passengers?
Question#3 ; If airlines have to change the seats last minute, why they ALLOW passengers to pick the same anyway? What is the point? Doesn't make any sense. According to me, it is point less and Useless.
Question #4 ; Who paid the price of the air-ticket? The passenger or the Airline? Who should have the "RIGHT" to pick the seat of their choice? The passenger or the Airlines?
I was there with my wife and brother-in-law whole time at the airport and tried to talk to so many different ground airline staff, but not even a single person provided any help and finally they were out of choice and were forced to travel with the different seats as assigned by the KLM and not sitting together for more than 10 hours flight to get lonely and bored.
Question #5 ; When any passenger is paying the price of the air-ticket, and then picking up the seat of his/her choice what right the Airliners as to force them to travel on the different seats? Why in this case my wife and her brother were NOT allowed to travel and sit together. What wrong they did here? Except picking up the KLM/DELTA airlines.
