Received a check issued by COGNOPTIX, INC, 20 Main St, Action MA 01720 through SVB Silicon Valley Bank, Santa Clara CA 95054... in the aamount if $2,950.00 std 8-27-13. Accompanied letter was from Lions Gate Financial Services, Inc, 47 Sherman Hill Rd, Woodbury CT 06798, tel 1-877-833-4548, ref # KJ-009-500. Ltr stated I had won $50,000, enclosed check was to cover taxes due as a non-resident of I assume South Africa or Dublin, Ireland. This supposed sweepstakes was fir customers if Wal-Mart, Sears, Home Depot, Safeway and ASDA, whatever company that is. Signed by Mrs. Catherine Bailey, President of I assume this Lions Gate Financial Services. Which by the way cannot be found at address in ketterhed, only shows that this is an empty building currently for sake. Please check into this matter. I obviously do not plan to get involved with this obvious scam. But somebody is bound to try and cash that check which certainly looks authentic.
