Received a letter from Waterhouse Financial Services on June 19.2013 but didn't open it until today. Says my husband won $150,000 in the International Shoppers Lotto Powerball. (Never heard of this!) Enclosed is a check from "Simmons Fabrications, LTD" for $3,875 that is supposed to be cashed to pay the tax amount of $1,875. (Why the overpayment of $2,000? Hmmm...) (And why a different company name on the check?!) But he must call the "Claim Agent" Mark Nelson first before cashing. Phone number for this scammer is 416-

Sounded too good to be true, so I checked out the bank routing number on the check. It is only 6 digits.
CLEARLY A SCAM. Why? Any real bank routing number is 9 digits. The bank routing number on this check is just 6 digits.
I am disabled and my husband is retired. Seems like these people think we're all quite stupid.
The supposed 'agent' who my husband is supposed to call before cashing the check (which he WON'T BE DOING!) is MARK NELSON at 416-830-5446. He should be PROSECUTED for perpetrating this FRAUD, even though I didn't lose any money, I'm sure some people have! Of course this probably isn't his real name...
