I am currently an employed person, earning good, happy with my career, then came one day, when i was reading a copy of The Daily Tibune's classified page. I saw an interesting ad in that paper that says "Sports Adverising Agency in need of Management Trainees" I got interested with the ad and decided to give them a call, since one of my interest is sports and I'm well experienced in the field of marketing/advertising.
I called up and talked to their receptionist named DESIREE, and she set me an appointment to be interviewed by a self proclaimed MANAGER I supposed. Then the next day I went to their office to have my interview, and i saw a bunch of people also waiting to be interviewed hoping that this is gonna be a great career for them, like me.
After talking and being interviewed by the manager, everyhting went ok, they asked me to come back for a second interview and also for them to show me what their employees do.
And that they came, I was there early in the morning, all dressed up (nice suit, kenneth cole leather shoes) and that's when one of hteir associates came in and asked me join him in presenting their services to some of their exisiting clients. That's when we left the place and i can't believe waht happened next, we went to a place somewhere in Chino Hills, parked the car, opened the trunk and took out some brochures and an ADT Alarm sign, and what happened next? I ended up walking for two miles ringing each door to ask those people if they will be interested in having an ADT Alarm system installed in their houses, and we did Three rounds from 11:00 am to 8:30 pm, i was so tired of it, can't do anything since i left my car in front of their office and we were too far from their office. My feet are sore, face feels sticky, just imagine doing that while wearing suit and nice leather shoes not intended for walking.
Then after the day, i found out that they don't even give any base salary, all you gonna get is commission, and that day, the associate i'm with didn't get to have anyone in the community say yea to his offer, so, after a long tiring day, you'll end up nothing.
Bottom line: they're misleading people, pretending to be a multinational advertising agency that gives people a chance to have a better career!!! But you will just end up like a little child selling chocolates to each and everu houses in the community.
So, if in case you'll get to see one of these ads, don't even try to call them, they'll just waste your time like what they did to me, i didn't go to work just to give those assholes a shot, and it's not worth it!!!
Before ending this story, just wanna give those guys a shout out!!!
F* you losers!!! End wasting other people's time!!! And let them know that going door to door is part of your so called 2nd interview and client presentation!!!
