I received an email today (7/31) from a Scott S with an unsolicited offer of employment from Happy LLC, with offices at 1515 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102, which is probably also bogus address. The email shows their phone as 215-642-8949.
After looking through their website (http://pom80. Mexaaa.com/), I recognized the scam from its similarity to another scam that I actually fell for last year.
This one is just as clever. It promises an initial income $2,750/mo plus bonuses for relatively low tech customer service work. They show their hand in the FAQ section of the website where they state that, during your probationary one month period, you may have to have funds transferred into your bank or credit card acct in order to pay for customer requests. After the initial period, if you meet their requirements, then they will issue you a corporate credit card. That is the trap!
The funds they deposit into your acct are never given time to clear your bank as they push you to quickly transfer them out of your acct to meet their "customer's needs". By the time your bank processes their deposit and then notifies you of the insufficient funds, it's too late.
These people are highly skilled and can cook up a good story. I hope this helps others to avoid being duped as I was recently.
