I sent my manuscript to Raider Publishing International in 15 October and have regretted it ever since. It took until 17 December - over a year -before I received my free copies and only found out by chance that my book was out. The book looked good enough but the dedication I requested was omitted - nothing was done to correct this.
On 21 January I ordered and paid for 30 books for my promotion campaign. They messed up my order and I finally received the books on 23 March.
As a result of this I had to abandon all my planning and marketing strategies which involved talks to schools and conservation bodies. National libraries and people who pre-ordered cancelled their orders.
On 8 August I received confirmation from Adam Salvani's assistant that "I have spoken to Adam and we will be compensating you with 25 copies of your book." (Email correspondence available)
Since being promised these books in August until the end of 2012 in answer to my queries, I have received at least 10 emails informing me that the books have "been shipped, reshipped, shipped, reshipped, ordered, shipped. Each time I have asked for a tracking number RPI have not given one.
