I received a notice in the mail (like that of a secure check with the perforated tabs on all 4 sides). The letter read that this was my second notice and there was a reference account number listed - 16 digits like a credit card.
The letter also read that they (Milligan Merchant Cash Card) had sent me a merchant cash card with advance line of credit up to $150,000. I was to call immediately to find the lost card or to activate the card if in my possession.
I was alarmed at first, worrying that someone had stolen my identity, but I also wondered if it was a scam. Next I did an internet search and found out that it was, indeed, a scam.
