A friend who knows of my poor hearing gave me a phone number for MSA30X, saying that it would help me hear better when watching TV. I called and ordered one set of the amplifier devices. (They are not hearing aids; rather, they simply amplify sound). The entire ordering process is done by talking to a computer. Next day, a live person called to tell me the order had been received and she pushed hard to have me expand my order to include extra charging bases. I declined repeatedly until the phone call ended. When the order arrived, they had added the extra charging bases as well as what I consider to be an outlandish shipping charge of $23.80.
I usually don't make purchases over the phone like this, and I have learned my lesson from this. I will NEVER again buy anything over the phone. Too many scam artists out there (like MSA30X) who are looking to make a fast buck. What I thought was going to be around $50, actually ended up at nearly $100. And I guess they continue to stay active and rip off well-intended folks.
