I responded to what turns out to be a scam email for a free credit report. After I gave them some information they "generated" a credit report but said I would have to pay $1.00 to see the report. I then cancelled the request and did not get the credit report. I thought I paid nothing. It turns out that they charged my credit card (I never gave them the number) for $29.95. I will contest to the credit card company.
