I made a purchase from Argos and clicked on a 'discount' voucher that they were offering on their site. I entered my card details (I thought this was for the item I was buying from Argos) only to find that without knowing it I'd signed up to pay £10 per month to 'Shopper Discount'. I see that I am not the only one to have fallen into this trap and I'm appalled that a 'reputable' and 'trusted' brand like Argos would host a scam like this on their website. Needless to say, Argos say it's a separate company and nothing to do with them - surely though, Argos has the wit to vet third party companies advertising on its website?
