Late January I was called by The-Me group to subscribe to their magazine with the promise of £100 worth of vouchers (especially automobile servicing) just for trying their magazine out. I would have to pay a £1 initial fee. Although I was not interesterd the offer of the vouchers was interesting as my younger brother was having a great deal of problems with his car and i thought this would help. I quickly came to the conclusion it was not for me. I followed thier cancellation instructions and called the given number, no answer. I called over 20 times and the only response was that there was "no one to take my call please try again later". I sent an email since I heard no more about it I thought the matter over until the 8th May when they withdrew £79 from my account subscription fee. I called them up, they admitted the error and promised to refund my money. After a week and no money I called again and was told my money is being processed but it can take up to 28 days. I'm still wating. I am trying to find as much information about this company as possible to give my lawyer. If anybody can help with that i'd be gratefull.
