On 11/5/04 at 5:56PM, i was billed for a collect call from a Spokane, WA number (509) 244-9754. This was interesting since i was not home. Even if i was, i don't accept collect calls.
My phone company Qwest wants nothing to do with this, since it was an outside billing. The website given for this "company" is www.oanweb.com. It's not even a telecommunication website. The phone number i have for them 800-944-9646 yields no human contact.
After days of investigating, all i've found is many complaints similar to mine. I've contacted the FCC and the FTC. Of course the BBB is useless. I can't even open a complaint with them since i don't know the company's location.
Here's the long and short of it. Nationwide Connections Inc and OAN appear to be some kind of scam, and are burning many people. It needs to stop. I'll be the first in line with my tools when their brought to justice:-) Until then, watch those phone bills folks!!!
