I was having problems with my computer, it began suddenly and I got messages that Speedy PC could fix it. I contacted them and they ran Diagnostic for $39.99. Then I was told it would cost $300 bucks to fix. They finally agreed to a $90.00. I was asked if I wanted to have service monthly for #29.99. I said NO. Only a one time deal. I found charges of $29.99 in April and Yesterday coming out of my checking acct. Which I did not authorize.
I tried for 30 minutes to contact 1-855-432-0727 number and then 1-855-220-7908. I explained my problem, gave my email to the girl and yes, right away I was told I verified a 6 month renewal for $29.99. I did not authorize this. The girl said there is a small box I had to un-check or I would be renewing every 6 months automatically. I asked to be refunded and without any complain she agreed to refund. I was transferred to the Safecart number where I got the same story. This guy was very cooperative too. He refunded immediately the other bogus charges. He assured me HE cancelled any future charges. I advised him I was going to be making complaints to the FBI. He didn't seem to be concerned at all. Seems he'd heard it before.
I have no way to prove it but, I believe this group somehow planted the problems I experienced just to get me to contact them. The problems disappeared as quickly as they appeared after they got my $130 bucks. I have yet to see if the charges are refunded but! BUYER BEWARE, BE SURE THEY DO NOT TOUCH YOUR COMPUTER AND DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO CHARGE YOUR BANK ACCT. I suspect they make million from people who don't check their accts. Often. Otherwise they wouldn't be so willing to refund charges they sneaked in!
