Gulf Bay Magazines is swindling innocent people out of their money. This kind of business practice should not be allowed, but yet everyday, Gulf Bay Magazines, Inc. Is railroading hard working people into its flytrap. My son has been a victim of this corporation unfair business practice.
Here is how it happened. My son received a telephone call from Gulf Bay Magazines saying that he was qualified to win a watch and a possible chance to win a million dollars. However, in order to enter the sweepstake, he had to subscribe to magazine subscriptions. My son, thinking that luck had come his way, innocently, agreed to enter the sweepstake and at the same time gave the thieves his bankcard number.
The person who talked to my son asked him what kind of magazine did he like to read, and his response was that he likes reading magazines pertaining to music and watches. However, Gulf Bay Magazine has been sending everything but magazines that deal with music and watches.instead he receives a plethora of gossip magazines, sports magazines, New York Magazine, and Fortune Magazine.
Though he never signed a subscription or even told whether he was a winner or a loser in the sweepstake, each month a bill for these magazines is sent to him total $25.97. Thus far, the company has deducted $400.00 from my son’s checking account. The balance left on the subscription totals $727.16.
What person in his or her right mind would knowingly take out a subscription for magazines with such an enormous cost? A more important question is why is Gulf Magazine allowed to conduct this unlawful business and get away with taking innocent, hardworking citizen’s money?
My son called NY1 for help, but as of yet, he has not heard from the network. The next step, he will call Channel 7, WABC, and speak to Kathy Philips or Arnold Diaz at NBC’s News Center 4.
Gulf Bay Magazine business practices are reprehensible and it should be brought to trial for its fraudulent practices. For those of us who have been caught up in the web of lies and deceits, we should get together and file a class action suit against Gulf Bay Magazines for misrepresentation.
