This company has been sending my tiny company invoices for something called "Professional Windows". I didn't order or receive anything. It appears to be some sort of newsletter, for which they charge £49.86 a pop! They have now sent a further invoice threatening me with debt collectors.
When the first invoice arrived last October I was immediately suspicious. I reported it to my local Trading Standards who confirmed that Agora Business Publications is known to them. They issued me with a case reference number and recommended I also report the invoices to Action Fraud online, which I did. Action Fraud gave me a Crime Reference Number for this matter.
Both Action Fraud & Trading Standards told me to ignore the invoices. But this threat of debt collectors is worrying me, so I think ignoring them isn't a good idea. I'm going to have to write to the company, which I don't think is a good idea usually, as knowing there's a real live person at the other end usually encourages scammers.
How many other people have had experience with Agora Business Publications? I notice that legal action for fraud was taken in the USA against their parent company in Baltimore.
