The Drawstring on a garment is the critical element. No drawstring, and the clothing is useless. About 3 months ago I purchased 2 pair of full length gray work out pants (with pockets).
The material is very soft and I enjoyed wearing them. 1 time. On the second use, a good pull on the drawstring, led to a slight pop sound and I had 1/2 of the drawstring in my hand.
So I can’t wear them. I can’t fix them. I have fixed this problem for years with a coat hanger and a little work. Fruit of the Loom has joined an odd cabal who’s agenda is to sew in drawstrings. This is insanity. If the drawstring fails you cannot replace it with a simple coat hanger and a new draw string. I am male. I don’t sew.
I would like to have a company that makes GOOD drawstrings. If the idea is to avoid the drawstring pulling out all together, just make it a drawstring about twice the diameter and sew it in carefully!
I am headed to find some small scissors, and a replacement string.
