I oredered a Black & Decker 9 amp electric lawnmower on May 2 (Model MM275) at a cost of $159.59. Sears sent me a 6.5 amp Model MM175 instead. On May 7, I called and spoke with a gentleman who assisted me in returning the wrong mower. He also assisted me in purchasing the MM275 that I had originally ordered, for a cost of $169.59, which was promptly charged to my account.

On May 8, I received an email from Sears saying that my order has been cancelled as the MM275 is "not available" and that my account "has been promptly credited". As of today, May 16, I have not received credit for the mower that I returned, nor have I received credit for the mower that they never sent. I've called them daily and each time I'm told that I will see credit "in 3 to 5 business days".

I'm starting to believe that this is a scam. Today I went on their website and see that the MM275 is available. I guess if you order this, they'll send you the MM175 thinking you won't notice the difference. Then, they'll keep your money if you return the wrong mower and reorder the correct mower that they have no intention of sending.
