Eharmony
Expensive, Ripoff, Scam It is a joke unless you are interested in paying a lot of money for blind dates, or you want to waste a lot of time working thru a process that will result in a many dead ends

I wish that I had read usacomplaints.com about Eharmony before signing up. I pu a lot of effort into filling out the profile questionaire and was clear that I worked out on a regular basis, favored a diet that is almost vegitarian, and enjoyed many outdoor and sports related activities. I'm 6'1", weigh 205 lbs, and have a 33" waist.

I've received well over 50 matches since I signed up. The only problem is as follows:

1. Many of the matches submit incomplete profiles so the information you have is at best a joke.

2.90% of the women do not include photos or hold them until much later in the process.

3. Many of the women after finally revealing their photos are at least 175 lbs and range from 5'2" to 5'6". I've had several that would easily have topped 250.

4. I'm calling a spade a spade here and do not apologize for my bias towards women that are not overweight.

I complained to Eharmony and received a half baked excuse that stated, "women with large bones would weigh almost as much as someone who is muscular and therefore the matches are legitimate." I asked why they did not require a photo before allowing these people to start matching, and their response "because that would limit the size of the Eharmony family." They also stated that requiring the customer to be honest about their photos, body type, and weight would be a violation of the customers rights.

I was wondering why so many women on Eharmony did not include photos, and I believe that the answer is clear. The quality of the women is poor and they are hoping that someone will actually believe that these fictional 29 deminsions of "whatever" will make their appearance irrellevant. I asked Eharmony about the feelings of these women that work their way thru the communication process only to have the door slammed in their face once the photo is revealed. Eharmony could care less. They did not respond to my question.

Eharmony goes further and says that limiting matches based upon weight or body type would defeat the spirit of their matching principles. They could easily ask each customer for the limits of what they would consider a match. They clearly do this with age. You can specify what age bracket is appropriate. So what's the difference? If you tell Eharmony that you weigh 150 lbs. And they keep it confidential but will not match you with anyone who has put a limit of 140 lbs. On matches this would be a non-issue.

Their commercials are clearly designed to convince you that there are some reasonably attractive people who are matching on the system. I believe this to be the case. My complaint is that 90% are not that way and when you complain and ask for some form of relief, you are denied.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH EHARMONY. It is a joke unless you are interested in paying a lot of money for blind dates, or you want to waste a lot of time working thru a process that will result in a many dead ends. At least the other online sites allow you to see what your getting into before wasting time chasing women that are afraid to let you see before you start communicating.
