Went to dinner with my husband and some of his family. Wasnt able to sit together, so we sat at two separate tables. Waiter was very apologetic about wait, gave us decent service. His family at next table ate first, we were waiting on two people. Our people showed up as the next table was finishing up and got their check. We ordered, got our food, got our check and noticed that a 20% gratuity was added onto our table of five. I waited for the waiter to return, which he did not, I had to hunt him down, and when confronted with the gratuity
he said that was their protocol, with tables of eight. Well we were a table of five, he said because of the table next to us we were considered a party. The table had there own check and no gratuity was put on theirs. He offered to get the manager, I said ok, but after ten minutes no one came. We left and i want that gratuity back.
