I got a text message from someone wanting to book a massage later this month. When I insisted that they phone and speak to me in person, they informed me that they couldn't because they were deaf. Umm... Right. So they gave me their email ([email protected]) and I sent them my hours and rates (which they would have known if they looked on the internet). I told them that I would schedule ONE appointment, and the rest could be scheduled later. They said they would have their company mail me a check. That's when the final penny dropped. I've seen this scam before. They send you a bad check, but before it clears, they ask for a refund to be wired to them. Then the check bounces. I told them to get lost. I wanted to alert others to this information.
