Received a phone call from George Willimas at (417) 942-4150 saying he was from Branson Time Shares in Branson, MO and had a buyer for my Myrtle Beach, SC timeshare in his office and that they would pay $10,000 and were pre-qualified would I be willing to sell. After questioning the cold call he stated they specialized in sales of timeshares and earned their money on the commisssion of the sale. He then told me a James Luvin at (417) 942-4148 in their finance department would call and explain the paperwork and how they would either direct deposit the money to a bank account or send a registered cahiers check by mail. I needed to get a money pack Green Dot Card, load $500.00, call them back, give them the card code and once they had the money they would do a title search for my property and once cleared they would send my money to me to include the $500.00 I had put up front for a total of $10,500.00. The couple that was buying my timeshare was in their office and they needed to close the deal. Once the sale was final they would call back no later than 5 PM and there would be a pending trans action of $10,500.00 posted to my bank acount.By Monday papers would be sent by FedEx for me to sign and return immediately. They even said to call them anytime and they would arrange vacations for pennies on the doller. No call was ever received and we had to go out of town on a family emergency. On Monday 05/06 I tried calling both numbers and they go dead. I realized I was duped and I should have known better when cash was required, but they were very smooth talkers and sounded very legitimate as they had all my information. I just want you to know that this type of skeam is going on in your state. It would be great to get my money back, but at least maybe you can find them and shut them down.
