I deleted the emails we had exchanged. Eric put a post on Craigslist looking for a maid to help him clean his house. He said he had a 3 bedroom house just 2 miles from where I live. He is busy working and doesn't have time to clean.
When I started asking for dates and payment arrangements, he said he would like my name and address to mail it to me; I gave it to him (OK... I know I am gullible).
He then sent me a check for $2,600 and asked me to Western Union some cash to his travel agent here in CA. I took the check to my bank, they informed me it was a fake check. It would be a $20 charge to officially run a scan. They were pretty sure it would come back saying it was a closed bank account.
I have the check, I it is in my drawer.
