Noticed Motime was charging my bill for $13.00 a month for ringtones. I called Fido-they said they cannot do anything about it but credited my account for a measly $25.00 anyway. My Fido agent explained that these companies will find your cell phone number off the internet somehow-Facebook for example and start texting you and automatically start charging your account. I called Motime, spoke to a man who could barely speak english. He read me a script that the company had printed up, clearly to cover their ass and to intimidate people who called in point out their shady business practices and ask for their money back, telling me that it was MY fault that Motime was charging me. Somehow I had to physically authorize the subscription. I told the man I never gave the company permission to have or use my personal cell number and I never signed up for ringtones. These crooks basically called me a liar and told me it was impossible for me to be charged without my consent. B.S.!!! I've never downloaded a ringtone in my life. Plus, nobody I know in their right mind would EVER pay $13.00 a month for ringtones when everyone knows you can download pretty much anything for free off the internet these days. I told the man on the phone that there are much better businesses and better ways to gain customers. This is just scheming and it drives business away.
