Consumer Report

On or about March 1 I placed an online order after viewing an advertisement for a free trial bottle of Green Coffee Bean. The only payment the notice gave was that I would have to pay for shipping.

After the order was placed I received only one bottle and it arrived by US postal service on April 19

On April 23 I found out through my bank that I had multiple debit charges and fees associated with them. On 3/2 a fee of $5.95 was charged to my account by Purifyre. On 3/27 an $86.56 charge was posted and charged by Purifyre. On 4/15 another charge by Purifyre was posted for $92.51. There were three fees of $37 associated with these postings by Purifyre. The total loss and charges were $301.97.

When I called from the bank to speak to Purifyre customer service I was told that I had 18 days to return the product before being charged and I had a total of 30 days to return the product from date of delivery not the 18 day period if I wanted a refund. When I explained that I didn't receive the first bottle I was given a tracking number that had not been verified. There was no primary notice of any of this on the advertisement. They claimed in was in the customer agreement and that it was my responsibility to see it. The ad I viewed is no longer posted on line.

Regarding that fact that I only received one bottle of Green Coffee Bean and it was delivered on April 19, I was told it was my fault for not calling to say that I didn't receive the first bottle and that since it was past 30 days from the date it was delivered I would not get a refund on the first bottle.

In addition I was fraudulently charged a second time for the shipping which I paid upfront when I made the order.

Both the initial customer service person and the supervisor were rude and not at all willing to offer assistance. They would only say that using a "RNA" number given to me on the call date, I could return the bottle delivered on April 19th and get a refund for $92.51. Doing so would mean that I am at a loss of $92.51 for the initial bottle that I never received, for the original shipping fee of $5.95 and the three bank charges of $37 because of these unauthorized withdrawals to my bank account.
