I joined Christian Mingle and was contacted by a man using the profile name softcoolheart. He goes by the name Michael Rizzo, says he is a self-employed civil engineer. He's a widower with a daughter who is 15.
We sent messages back and forth for a few days and then he gave me his email address and cell phone number. We talked by personal email at first about what we were looking for in a potential mate. He seemed to move from being a friend to talk to a best friend to the woman he was falling deeply in love with in about two and a half weeks time. He claims to be Italian and I know Italian men fall in love very fast. He also claimed to give me his heart, which again Italian men are known to do.
He's well versed in the Christian religion as we talked about that a lot to. He eventually would call me on my cell and we would pray together every night!
About the second week in April he started asking for money. He had always been talking about this bridge contract he wanted to bid on so that was no surprise. What surprised me was that he was asking for money. I told him I thought he was just looking for money from me and wasn't the person he claimed he was. I did check his info out and he puts himself out there online as a self-employed civil engineer. Name he uses and phone number and town he lives in all match. Apparently he said he didn't have enough money to put in for the bid for this bridge contract, was short. Sorry to say, I bought into it and sent him money.
After that things were going well, then on Friday April 19 he contacts me telling me that he can get this contract, but he needs more money. Says there were revisions to the bid. He was telling me he's coming to see me this weekend and will pay back everything I have given him. This time I did more research and found his name from the same dating site but a different person who he also asked money from. I am the second person, that I know of, that he has done this to. I cut off all contact with him on Monday April 22. I did send him a text telling him he's a lying cheat. That was the last communication I have had with him. He has contacted me by text but I have not been responding.
I'm putting this out there so hopefully no one else falls for his lying words.
