I get bank updates for when I spend money in my bank account. When I get an update that I recently spent $19.65, I knew something was wrong. I haven't paid bills recently, and I went out to eat the day before (I know I didn't spend more than $9). So I check my bank statements for more details, and, lo and behold, its this company and their phone number. I call their number, get directed to an automated line where I can cancel my affiliation with them. Here's where it gets interesting, they give me the name of the account holder. I know its my name, but there's a typo in it. It was missing one of the letters in my last name, and that struck a chord. I knew the source of the typo. A few months back, I had a run in with this company, Member's Learning Center. They "help" people get started with home businesses. Under the guise of helping people get started, they get people to sign up for things they don't really need. I can understand webhosting and domain name costs, but anything other than that is not necessary. So, if any of you have had any kind of affiliation with "home business" start up companies, as good as the opportunity may seem, its not such a good idea. They're just trying to leech off of the public.
