I cancelled my accounts with 1&1 Internet Inc. And was given confirmation over the phone it was completed. Over the next month I received several bills from them claiming I owed them payments for each individual account since the time after I cancelled. I called and emailed back and forth with two different people who continued to 'pass the buck' back and forth. I even received a 'credit' letter from cancellations department, but they wouldn't recognize it in the payments department. After wasting several hours (many days of emails) they sent me to collections. I paid the collections just to keep my credit clear, as it cost more in wasted time than their petty trumped up charges. The even sent me to collections for more than the original bill. Overall, I just wanted to be done with it, but also want to let eveyone know, I am not the only person who has had a very bad experience with this company.
