I bought movie tickets using the theaters ticket purchase section, so that my wife, grandson, and I wouldn't have to wait in line. The site indicates that you can print from home, however, after paying, not only couldn't I print at home; I had to stand in line anyway. And, they charged me an additional $1 for each of the 3 tickets for the fun of using their sight. I wrote Marcus Theaters, and here is what they said:
Thank you for contacting Marcus Theatres:
I apologize for the confusion. We had the print-at-home tickets at our theaters for a number of years. We discontinued the program a couple years ago due to multiple guest service issues caused by this program We have changed our tickets to will call which has alleviated these problems.
The intention of online presale tickets has always been for our guests to purchase tickets from the comfort of their home so they can avoid sold out shows. If any other benefits are gained, that is unintentional.
Thank you,
Bridget Hughes
Guest Service Coordinator
I didn't buy them to avoid a sold out theater. I bought them so I wouldn't have to stand in line. And, I didn't see mention of the $1 fee per ticket. I'm guessing they have bilked thousands out of their money.
Sincerely,
James (Personal Information Removed)
