I dropped out at the halfway mark and recieved a letter in the mail saying that i owed the school 2 thousand dollars out of pocket. I called the school to see if we could work something out. I kept in contact with the school for two weeks and then one day I got a letter in the mail from a collections agency. They sent my 2 thousand dollar "bill" (which i am still not exactly sure what it was for) to collections while I was keeping in contact with them. All of this happened within 1 month not really giving me any time to work something out with the school. I don't work and my husband is lower enlisted military so money is tight. It would have taken time but I would have set up a payment plan or something but they didn't even give me a chance. No one at the school will return my phone calls and the collection agency keeps calling. I told them that I can solidly work something out when my tax return comes in but they call every day asking about it. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do?
