I received a miscellaneous charge for $59.95 on 2/23 from ACT*Active. I Googled the phone number associated to the charge to learn more. I found through a variety of postings that I'm not the first victim. To resolve the issue, I have emailed the company to request a credit. I plan to follow up with a phone call M-F, too. And, if they do not resolve the issue, I will call my bank to dispute the charges.
I believe this may be a company I've used in the past to register for races. If this is the case, I'm extremely disappointed in them. I've used Active.com for years without any issues. A charge like this tells me that they are potentially saving customer credit card data without approval, and subsequently charging customers without approval.
