Customers do not like to shop at Kohls for several reasons - Stores are overstocked in that it is difficult to get around the racks and to look at items stuffed in the racks. Also prices are inflated and then the numerous sales events all lead to more confusion and in many cases returns and re-purchases. Kohls Cash is very misleading in that there are no POSTED notices on the return policy and how they will affect the customer with Kohls cash. It is left to the associate to explain the policy to the customer and when the customer does not accept the policy a called manager bends and gives the customer what they want.
As an associate I would like to know WHY we take back so many damages items like coffee makers that over 1 year old or vacuums that have been abused or sneakers and shoes that have been out worn or in many cases have out grown the child. Who is running the ship - the customer or the store policies. Customers are taking advantage of Kohls and we as associates see it every day. The outcome is that our hours are cut because net sales are down due to this unfair advantage.

I am in fear that Kohls is slowly moving to become a store of the past. Already Target is doing better.

Cut the returns to 60 days and not have a blanket time period. Home Depot, Lowe's, Target and other establishments do this and have it posted in the store.

You don't want to the way of other retailers like Goody's, Mervyn's, and maybe JCPt
