My name is Brenda Castille. I was contacted by a man on "AdventistSingles.com in mid-January, " who said he lived near Charleston, SC. Said he was a "construction manager, " owning his own business, Nicholson Construction, and that he was 61 years old, with a birthday of January 19. He began sending me poetic love letters. A couple of weeks ago, he said he travelled to Malaysia for a three-week trip to do a contract that he'd won. It was supposed to be to build roads, etc.
One week after supposedly arriving there, he asked me to send him four "magic jacks, " even though I told him he could probably buy them himself at Wal-Mart's or Wal-Green's there. I sent him two, by DHL, with a total cost of nearly $200. I included the receipts and expected him to reimburse me immediately.
Yesterday, he asked me for $12,500 to pay his unexpected taxes there in Malaysia. Putting it all together, after some earlier suspicions, I realized this was a "Nigeria Scam, " and I have informed him that I want my money to be reimbursed to me and that I never want to talk to him again. He sent me an email today saying how he never intended to hurt me and still wants to be friends, etc.
