Consumer Report

I brought my 1989 Ford wheelchair van in to get fixed and was told it was going to be $728 and 2 days to fix it. It had a water leak and was stalling. It was dropped off on Monday 2-4 and was ready on the 4 7-13 with a bill of $974. I was told there were tings that needed to be replaced and didn't see a reason to call me to delay getting it fixed. I was told the valve cover gaskets were replaced and when I looked they are not. The dirt on the bults don't show that a socket or wrench was ever put on them and it was never cleaned. I was told a new belt was put on and it looks like the old one is still there. I see that they used a nut as a spacer on the intake insted of using the rignt bult. I picked it up and heard a wisling coming from the engine and that is because the intake is leaking so turned around and told him there is something wrong. I told him I need the van Friday 2-8-13 to go help at the nursing home. It is the only way I can get around because of having to use a powner wheelchair so he told me to bring it back when I get done with the nursing home.
The water was never drained and replaced (still has the black pepper that I put in it to stop the leak) so I don't know if they fixed the leak. There is water in the oil from them pulling off the intake like they said to stop the leak.
This is just what I found in one day of getiing it back from the shop.
