I brought my car in to RJWheels on Bethel Rd to repair a transmission leak.
I was told by Joe (manager) that the transmission dipstick was misaligned, jammed between the engine and transmission.
Joe told me the transmission would need to removed and replaced, then the dipstick would be properly installed and not leak.
Upon receiving the car, i drove home and noticed it leaking. I went back the next morning, and this time they said the pan gasket was not tight, that they had the leak fixed.
On Friday June 25, i was looking for a short in wiring to my a/c when i noticed that a radiator hose clamp was used to hold my transmission dipstick to the heater control valve on my intake manifold (i took pictures). The transmission dipstick was not attached to the transmission, which is where it is supposed to be attached. Also, i noticed my engine ground cable was laying loose, unattached to the engine.
Immediately i called and spoke to Alex, who said a mechanic would be in at 8am the next day
I went in Saturday June 26th at 8am, after about a half hour, a mechanic took my car back in the garage. After about 90 minutes, i was told the car was done.
I spoke to a mechanic who worked on the car, and he said the dipstick did not fit, that it was the wrong dipstick. He said he had it fixed. What he did was anchor the dipstick tube to the body of my car..
I left, and immediately noticed the car was running rough when idling. When i got home, i checked around the repaired area, and found the mechanic had removed a vacuum hose from my intake manifold but did not replace it
. I also noticed that my heater control valve that they wrapped a radiator hose clamp around to anchor the transmission dipstick was now leaking (i have pictures). Tomorrow, monday will be a total of 4 times i have been to RJ Wheels to have my car repaired properly.
Today, i went back and spoke to Alex and the manager. The manger. Joe was totally unprofessional, he wanted to argue with me and give me excuses.
I have an appointment tomorrow morning at 8am to replace the damaged heater control valve that they damaged.
Now i have to find another place to attach my transmission dipstick properly
