Had an email from the 'ATO' saying that I had $450 worth of tax that I hadn't claimed. They provided me with a link to click on which had the legit 'ATO' web address on it (www.ato. Gov.Au/taxpayers/refundation.html_verify? Puser=), but when you click on the link, the URL in the browser says a completely different thing and has nothing to do with the ATO or the Government (http://www.xwendsw.Co. Za/vew3/404.htm).
I had my suspicions and didn't continue with the form because 1. They addressed me by my email 2. The browser URL had nothing to do with ATO or the Government 3. The email was sent from [email protected]
This is the email they sent...
