On the evening of 2/4 I hand delivered a pain medicine prescription to the pharmacy tech and was told it would ready the next day. On 2/5 I returned to pickup my prescription only to be told that my insurance refused to pay because prescription had already been picked up. When the Supervising Pharmacist was told he advised me that he was too busy to deal with the matter and I should contact my insurance company. I left the store and subsequnetly contacted my insurance company. The insurance company stated that they authorized payment and gave me Walgreens tracking number and suggested I return to the store and provide the tracking number. I again returned to the store, told my story and provided the tracking number. The pharmacy tech acknowledged that the number was correct but could not be found. The Supervising Pharmacist than returned my prescription to me and stated that he did not have to serve anyone with my attitude. Excuse me but did I do something wrong? I then went to the store manager who confronted the Pharmacist and eventually had the charge removed by the insurance company which made my perscription valid, so I could take it to another pharmacy. When the pharmacy first found out they made a mistake they should have attempted to rectify the mistake rather than the customer. Walgreens will no longer receive my business and if you do not want to be treated as I was, I suggest you take your business elsewhere.
