This person pertending to be from the district court, called. He stated my Name is Sean White I am an attorney, I have a warrent for your arrest due to insufient finacial obligation. I stated, oh thats funny... I filed bankruptcy two years ago and have perfect credit since. What company is filing this, he than cut me off said I need the name of your lawyer and if you do not have a lawyer I will have you arrested at % my address.
I asked him as well, what court he avoided answering me, I asked him what company and did not address this, he kept repeating you will be arrested.
I than found this to be very ironic as my husband works for the Federal government, and we clearly would have been notified to any warrents. I explained this to this person, he than got angry at me, said dont threaten and lie to me that your husband is a federal officer. (this however, is the complete truth, my husband is a Federal officer)
He became irate and hung up on me. I than proceeded to call my local sheriff and collegue to verify if this was a lagit number. He laughed and stated this scam has been going around for a very long time, inorder to get you to give personal information over the phone. Thinking you will fear being arrested.
