I received a phone call saying my laptop had a lot of viruses and that this man on the telephone was from Microsoft and could fix them. We thought our laptop was running slow previously and I thought this person from Microsoft would solve it. He then wanted access to my laptop and said that he would be able to get the viruses off for a price. I then gave him access and followed his instructions. He then bought up a list of viruses and said there were over 12,000. They showed on the screen and I know that it was a scam via his end and I should never of given him access. He then said for a fee, that he could get rid of them and that I had to pay £231.33 so I gave my bank details. I gave my credit card details all but a password and then as I couldn't remember it, I gave my debit card details. A payment of the above amount has been taken out and I have since had to cancel my debit card and then my credit card as they tried to take more money out and I have had to cancel this as well. I have rung and they never answer. I want a full refund and nothing has happened even though I have tried to report this scam to numerous places. I have done a lot of research since and this scam has been very popular and targeted a lot of people who have described it the same way. I need a full refund and have no other way of getting it.
