I had received a notice from Parks at Hunters Creek for lease renewal three months ago, and I could only take the month to month option, which was $400 extra per month. My lease was up in mid December, but I asked them if I had to pay the rest in December and they said no. They said I would have to pay the $400 increase in January. I called three times, three months before to verify and was told this. Then all of a sudden in December I receive a bill for $350 extra. I contact them and ask them why this is happening. They tell me they will call me back. They never did. A few weeks later, I submit a check for the new amount on time, including fees for sewer and water, which I have always done. Then I receive a three day eviction notice and another threatening notice asking for more than $1500. My original rent was $1080. They say that they reject my check because it is partial payment and that they demand it all in full. When I call, the man, his name is NEO, says to me that someone will call me back. I again never receive a call. Then I go in person and the manager comes to me and tells me that I owe this money. I tell her that I want to move out right away. She tells me that I can't. And that I face eviction if I don't pay the amount they declare. The apartment that I live in is decrepid... We have had many and many breakdowns in our appliances, including the air conditioning which broke down three times. Nobody ever helped us. Don't come here! Don't live here. It is a trap.
