I recently purchased a ping pong table from Goodwill Industries, Schenectady NY that they purchased from Target. They charged me a higher price than Target sells it retail. On top of that Target placed the item on sale during the Thanksgiving holidays. I have tried to resolve this issue with the company, but I have not been given a satsifactory resolution. I do not go to Goodwill to purchase items for the full price that I can recieve at Target. Mostly because I am not guaranteed that all the parts will be in the package and Goodwill does not provide a satisfactory return policy. I have been told by several employees at Goodwill that it is their policy to price Target items in their store at 50% off the retail price that Target is charging. I paid $160 for the ping pong table. Target charges $130 when not on sale. Goodwill has offered me a $30 in store credit which I do not find satisfactory.in the past I have thought that Goodwill was a company with ethical standards and I did not do research on the item and trusted the individual who sold me the item and told me that the ping pong table cost $500 at Target.
