We were again contact by telephone from a compnay purportingto be World PC Solutions.net. Claiming tht we had picked up a virus from surfing the Internet. I asked for the name of the person that I was dealing with (an Asian) he very reluctantly gave me the name Roger Daniels, and when pressed he equally reluctantly gav me the wed address which was worldpcsolutions.net.
Knowing something of the scams which are currently taking place, in relation to Microsoft Windows I asked him for a number on which I could call his superior and make sure that I wasn't being scammed at which point he put me onto a lady called Angel who tried to assure me that they had microsoft's full athority to can out repair work on Microsofts behalf and that if I still wasn't statified she could supply me with a number which was 0161-4080-714 which surprise, surpise and phoned and the number was out of order.
It's about time that BT stopped this sort of practice from going on and put a bar on all such calls being made. I've written to my MP about this on numerous occassions, but after my first letter he has gone silent on the matter.
