My father who now lives in Australia has had an account with PNC from its beginning. It bought Riggs Bank years ago. My father has sent large checks to us over the past couple of years. Now a small check is not being honored because Mr. Kim and Mr Yeo, managers at PNC have said my father needs to have an updated signature card on file. My dad is 85, lives in Australia, doesn't drive or get out much. They want to send him a signature card, have him to drive from Melbourne to Sydney to go to the US Embassy (long trip) have the card notarized and mail back the signature card. Ridiculous!!! Needless to say - this account that makes no-interest - will be closed shortly. No more using his money for free PNC. Stay away from PNC!!! Not elderly friendly!
