Wal-Mart Pharmacy
Wal-Mart Phamacy Custome

My husband is terminally ill & his drugs are very expensive. As of Oct. He went ito the catastrophic part of Medicare Part D. [His drugs for 2010 as of 10/31/10 are already $10,000]; When the clerk rang the bill up, she told me it would be $246.00—I did't have that with me so I have a Wal-Mart Credit Card to use for drugs only. I had to charge the medications. I told the clerk that was too high—would she check to see what was so expensive. I was told to go home & check it & if I found a problem to call my insurance & get something from them to bring back for a refund! When I checked I got 1 prescription that I was charged $147.00 for & 1 that I was charged $42.50 for—each ended up being $6.30. I called Wa-Mart immidately telling them they had made a mistake; I was told the girl would have to talk to the pharmacist & would call me back that evening. No phone call! When I got home the next day from work I had a message to call Wal-Mart; that I had a refund due me. I called them & I was told that my refund had been put on a Wal-Mart Gift Card—I told her I did not want a gift card—I wanted the $177.54 credited to my credit card—they refused—I either took the gift card or I guess I got nothing. I have not heard the words "we're sorry for the mistake"; we apologize for your inconvenience&nothing. They acted like I was a bother to them! I still tried to refuse the card; I was told to take it to the money store & cash it out & then go to Customer Service & pay it on the CC—remember this is their mistake!!!
I was so angry that I went straight to the Customer Service Manager who was very kind & tried to be helpful. I showed him the mistake & even his eyes got big. I told him I was told to cash it out—he said that could not be done. I told him I was not leaving the store w/o it being resolved. He called several more people who were suppose
to be Asst. Managers—no one came—I waited for 30 min. On someone to just come up front. The Customer Rep. Person told the female who finally came why they were cashing the card out—she did not want to do it either. I threatened that I would be pulling approx. $12,000 worth of medicine from their store & that did not phase them. Again I was not given a apology of any kind from her. The only person at Wal-Mart that said several times I'm sorry was the Customer Service Manager who was trying to help me. My husband is on disability & terminally ill; I only work 24 hours a week so money is very tight for us. I just do not understand this type of customer treatment. This is not the only problem I have had with them—just the most costily. I did not want money on a gift card when I did not have the money to pay the cc with?
