Waste Management Horrible Customer Service

On Wednesday January 9 a Waste Management employee came to our home and took our garbage tote in error (they were supposed to pick up a former neighbors tote instead). They did not check the address or serial number on tote to make sure they had the right one but instead just grabbed the first one they saw and dragged it down the hill. My husband immediately called Waste Management Company and explained what had happened. Here we are on Friday still no garbage tote and they are telling us that even though it was their error we will have to wait up to 7 business days to get our tote back. We have nowhere to put our garbage in the mean time (we live in the country and can't put bags outside due to animals) and they are not even willing to give us a discount due to inconvenience. After 45 minutes on the phone with a supervisor my husband finally told them if they can't get our tote back here by the end of the day we are cancelling our service. Wow, REALLY??? Whatever happened to treating the customer right? And this is THEIR ERROR!!! I would not recommend this company to anyone. Go with smaller local companies whenever possible, this has been unreal!
