Nokia is NOT affiliated with any lottery, see here for nokia's response

For those of you who are actually blaming nokia for the lottery scam, you should read this from nokia's REAL company website blog.

Http://conversations. Nokia.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the page. If you have any lingering wonder of whether or not you've "won" the "Nokia lottery", then you are seriously lacking intelligence.

Nokia is a respectable company. Nokia has nothing to do with this scam, and no, they cannot do anything about the "nokia lottery" sms going around the world. See, these are nigerian scammers. Those who actually pay up for the courier and lottery fees are the ones who are helping them keep the scam going, and are the ones who are helping to keep the scammers anonymous, NOT NOKIA. Nokia would NOT scam people with a fake lottery. Nokia most likely also did not give the scammers your phone number. Scammers operate this way - they use every number combination with every area code they can. They probably do this online and not on a phone in a free place to use the web, so they aren't ever traced. You sending them money through western union helps to keep them secret from authorities. It is VERY bothersome to Nokia for a bunch of people from india or some place else getting online and filing complaints against them, and misleading others to believe Nokia is involved. It's also annoying to fish through the bogus "lottery" complaints to get to actual true complaints from consmers considering to buy from Nokia (yes, i know i've added to that list, but i'm trying to provide evidence to people that there is no lottery, so maybe they'll get a clue and not give their money away to strangers, and then spam up complaints against nokia, instead of scammers).

First, these scammers will get personal info from you that they will use to steal your identity to take out credit cards in your name and spend them up. They will also use your identity to commit crimes, that you may be held liable for. THEN, they will keep telling you they need money for "courier" fees. They will also then ask for attorney fees. They will let you talk to a fellow scammer. Ive seen people who actually believe they've talked to a lawyer. Even when they discover they've been scammed, they still believe it's a lawyer (some people are so idiotic). The "lawyer" will tell you that in addition to the $800 or so dollars (this is not an exact amount. It is an average amount. If they tell you $700, no, that doesn't mean it's not a scam. You'll know it's a scam when they ask for money in any amount) that you stupidly shelled out for "courier" fees, they will tell you they need thousands more for a myriad of bogus fees. A real lottery will never ask you to pay money out of your pocket. They will never claim your prize is covered by a hardcover insurance policy. THERE IS NO SUCH THING.

They always tell you to wire money. You're a certified idiot if you wire money to anyone who's not in your family. They can never be traced. They will steal your money, your identity, and your credit. They will also steal your freedom by commiting crimes in your name, and then you serve jailtime for them. Now, if this sounds like the kind of prize you want to win, then go for it. Nokia and myself have warned you. If you do this, and just won't believe nokia or me, then don't come crying on the internet and filing complaints against nokia. Also, don't comment on here asking if it is true you've won the nokia lottery, and ask me to go out of my way and email you or call you. I will do neither, ive already warned you right now. If you're too stupid to understand you're being scammed, then don't depend on me to pay for an international call to india to tell you this again.

So, don't complaint about nokia, theyve got nothing to do with it. File a complaint against your stupidity, and stop putting these red herring complaints against nokia for the nokia "lottery"

It does not exist. No you have not won anything but a scam.
