Poor service, does not honor money back guarantee, still has not refunded my money

I ordered service from them on Sept. 26 and ended up having to cancel the same day because attempts to reach them with set-up questions failed miserably.

After placing my order, I noticed that I did not receive any email instructions or anything directing me on the next steps to begin set-up. So I called the local # listed on site only to receive get a voice recording stating that the mailbox was full.

I then went online to the online chat help (during California business hours) and waited for 30 minutes for someone to assist me only to receive msg after msg that the reps would be with me shortly.

By now Im feeling like a complete idiot. I began to wonder what was going on. So I went online and did a google search for dot5hosting complaints (I should have done this beforehand) and surprise, surprise. I found a site called www.webhostingratings.com and did a "name search" in their "find this host" box and low and behold I hit the jackpot.

There were dozens of complaints about their terrible service and less than ethical business practices. Just about all of their ratings from 2003 & 2004 were getting 1's which is the lowest rating possible. The only positive ratings received were in 2002. I can only assume this is when they just started out or something.

I immediately made phone attempts and email attempts to cancel my order. I could not get through with the # listed, and online service help was a complete joke.

After spending too much of my time trying to set up a "ticket" for assistance. I finally received an email from one of their reps. I replyed to the email and asked to have my service cancelled and money refunded.

Their reps (Chris, Monica, Rocky, Eric, and a few from sales) repeatedly emailed me one after another requesting information for setting up service as if they could not see the refund request.

The emails basically kept offering assistance with set up, etc and after replying to each one of them simply stating my refund request, one of them asked me why I wanted to cancel.

I replyed that service was poor, attempts to reach a full voicemail box, and that I had found another host.

After receiving all the emails ignoring my refund request, I decided to go back to their online chat box. During my previous attempts I had been responding that I was an existing customer, since technically I was because my money was already taken. This time I switched it up and said I was a NEW customer to see if they would respond more quickly and surprise, surprise... Chris logs in and asks to assist me and I typed in my refund request again. He replied with simply one line stating that a refund would be issued. No sorry's for the inconvenience, etc.
