I had purchased a SIM No. 8285318375 from the Aircel counter at New Delhi International Airport on 15 June for Rs. 3000 with a view to use the same for Internet browsing during my stay in India. I was categorically informed by the sales personnel that this SIM would be functional all over India except in J & K. It did work in Delhi even though the speed was abysmally slow. However, it stopped functioning completely once I left Delhi. I approached the Aircel office in Jabalpur (MP), my next destination, where the personnel informed me that this SIM would not work in the state of MP and was limited to a few states only. This is in contradiction to what I was told while purchasing the SIM. I am an Non Resident Indian and feel that I have been cheated. Complaints on the company website resulted in nothing more than automated replies of acknowledgment. I strongly advice any visitors to India to avoid purchasing an Internet connection from this company and stick to bigger names like Airtel or Vodafone. Unfortunately for me, I could not locate any other service providers at the airport.
